If you don’t use any of the add-on services in QuickBooks Desktop 2019, your product will continue to work for you. You won’t be able to subscribe to live technical support or any of the other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop. Also, discontinued versions won’t receive the latest security patches and updates.
How will the transition work?
If you still want to use QuickBooks to process your payroll you will have to transition your desktop data to QuickBooks online.
Once you’re eligible, you can log into your Intuit Online Payroll account and choose when you want to transition. You’ll be able to select the new plan for your clients (Core, Premium, or Elite). Once you decide to transition, we’ll take care of the rest and let you know when the process is finished. Once completed, you’ll have access to all of your clients’ data, including reports, notes, and alerts in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Will I be able to keep my tiered pricing?
No, there won’t be tiered pricing based on the number of clients like there was in Intuit Online Payroll. The pricing for QuickBooks Online Payroll products will be based on the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program.
ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program:
Core – $31.50/mo, $3.40/mo per employee or contractor
Premium – $52.50/mo, $6.80/mo per employee or contractor
Elite – $87.50/mo, $8.50/mo per employee or contractor
